The first magazines I remember are my mum's magazines.. all about houses, furnitures, design. Le prime riviste che ricordo sono quelle di mia mamma, dedicate alla casa e all'arredamento.
Magazine favourite(s) that inspired you in your career.
Speaking about graphics work, I took inspiration from NEXT-EXIT but the magazine that I really loved was CAFFELLATTE Per quanto riguarda il lavoro di grafica mi è tornata molto utile NEXT-EXIT, ma la rivista che ho preferito è stata CAFFELATTE.

If we don't consider Take it Easy... in the last period I've rediscovered COLOURS. Non contando Take it Easy... ultimamente ho riscoperto COLOURS.
What else inspires and informs you?
I try to bring home every type of papers, from free-press magazines to flyers that I find in pubs and shops. But I also like glossy magazines like GLAMOUR or VANITY FAIR Cerco di portarmi a casa qualsiasi supporto cartaceo, dai freepress ai flyers di locali. Mi piacciono anche riviste più patinate, come GLAMOUR e VANITY FAIR.
Proudest moment of your career in magazines.
Just few days ago, I really appreciated the comparison, done by a girl that is writing her thesi about free-presses, between my TiE and the american BUST In questo periodo mi ha reso molto felice il paragone tra TiE e l'americana BUST dei primi anni da una ragazza che stà facendo la sua tesi sulle freepress.
Why?
Becouse this means that someone enjoy and apreciate my job. Also if TiE is just a little product it has some potentialities. Perchè vuol dire che il mio lavoro si nota, che pur nel piccolo di una produzione come TiE è possibile leggerci delle potenzialità!
Most important lesson learnt, and from who/where?
Speaking about TiE, the most important lesson is that a project can grow up also thanks to its mistakes, and thanks to the readers' criticisms. Riferendomi alla storia di TiE, la lezione più importante è stata crescere dagli errori fatti in partenza, tramite le critiche di tutti quelli che hanno letto il magazine.
Do you keep old copies of magazines? If so, what is your favourite in your collection?
Yes, I do! And I really love to keep old copies. My fauvorites are the onces that I've bought in Japan... among which ATMOSPHERE 00. Si, lo adoro! Le mie preferite sono quelle acquistate in Giappone... tra cui ATMOSPHERE 00.

TiE is an indipendent and growing up container (of ideas) TIE = un contenitore indipendente in crescita.
Why do you work in magazines?
I like editorial graphics and I love to let words speak trought immages. Mi piace la grafica editoriale, riuscire a far parlare le parole anche con le immagini!

Take it Easy speaks about art, music, books, cinema, game and much more.... Take it Easy è un contenitore, parla di arte, musica, libri, cinema, giochi e altro, altro ancora...
Who reads it?
Mainly readers between 20 and 40 years old and in general people who love comunication, go to cinema and use computer. Soprattutto la fascia di età che va dai 20 ai 40 anni, che amano la comunicazione, vanno al cinema e usano il computer...
How do you find innovative ways to talk to your readers?
The magazine is always a “work in progress”. Usually, we try to put articles in which we are interested about... We think that is the passion that move the world! Il magazine è sempre un work in progress. Principalmente cerchiamo di inserire articoli che interessano principalmente noi della redazione... la passione muove il mondo!
What do you like about the challenge of working in magazines?
Life for magazines in Italy is not easy at all. Paper is giving space to the web... the challenge is to find the strenght to challenge ourselves! And consider that our magazine is a small one, born in a small city! In Italia le riviste non hanno vita facile, il materiale cartaceo stà lasciando il passo a quello virtuale... è quindi una sfida a superarsi, oltretutto il nostro magazine nasce in una piccola città.
In five years, what will you be working on?

Nowadays there are many different kind of graphic, everyone going in a different direction.. Different level but always in touch one with another. To have a complete idea of this graphic world we have to ask opinion also to other artists. And, obviously, we can't fortger the reader... he is the one who choose the product. Il mondo della grafica ormai si sviluppa su tantissimi piani, sempre in comunicazione uno con l'altro, per fare uno studio su tutto il mondo della grafica editoriale dovremmo spingerci anche ad artisti di altri settori. Inoltre non possiamo dimenticare il lettore... è lui che sceglie!
Finally, please give us a brief outline of your career: When and where did you start working in magazines?
May we consider also the school 'zine?!? Becouse I've started exactly from there! MAZINGA was its name. My schoolmates and me used to do everything by hand... I was the one involved in rewrite all the articles and in the layout. Vale anche la zine della scuola? Perchè MAZINGA è stata la mia prima pubblicazione. Facevamo tutto a mano e a me toccava sempre la riscrittura di tutti i testi e l'impaginazione.
What are the most significant titles you've worked on?
I choose to work in my own city (Livorno) that is a quite small one, where the opportunities of working in a magazine are really few. For these reasons the most significant title is exactly Take it Easy: the only magazine of its kind in my city... and it's already 4 years old!!!! Ho scelto di lavorare nella mia città (Livorno), ma è una città relativamente piccola, dove le opportunità di lavorare ad un magazine sono ridottissime. Il titolo più significativo è quindi Take it Easy Magazine: la prima pubblicazione di questo genere nella mia città che dura ormai da 4 anni.
